The ravens on these pouches represent the two ravens of the Norse god Odin: Huginn and Muninn. They travel through the nine worlds every day to collect all of the news to pass on to Odin. Huginn represents thought and Muninn represents memory. On their chests I have added the symbol Valknut, which has been found on numerous ancient carvings, generally in association with Odin.
I hand printed these cream coloured cotton pouches with a hand carved raven and Valknut stamp on my etching press. I finished the pouches with red, silver and teal coloured poly-satin ribbons, pearlesque red and silver plastic beads and wooden beads. The pouches are lined with teal coloured poly-satin.
They are great for storing all sorts of things, such as: Tarot Cards (the pouch will fit a deck of 70mm x120mm tarot cards), Gem Stones, Rune Stones, Dice, Jewellery etc..
