This design was inspired by the Glastonbury Tor and the White Spring of Glastonbury. Glastonbury is in Somerset, England and is the presumed site of Avalon from Arthurian Legends. The Tor Hill itself is steeped in history and legend. Some believe it to be a portal to the Underworld or faerie realm and that many faerie folk gather there. The now roofless church tower of the St Michael’s Church which stands on the Tor dates back to the 14th century. The white spring of Glastonbury runs into a spiral shape. The Tor and White spring are said by some to be the male counterpart of the female Chalice Well or red spring of Glastonbury.
Standing atop the Tor, looking up to the sky through St Michael’s Tower is such a great memory for me and I would most certainly love to return. But for now I have created these pouches to keep that magical memory alive.
I hand printed these yellow poly-satin pouches with a hand carved Glastonbury Tor and White Spring stamp on my etching press. I finished the pouches with red, yellow and orange coloured poly-satin ribbon, pearly red and frosted yellow plastic beads and gold coloured metal sun charms. The pouches are lined with burgundy red taffeta.
They are great for storing all sorts of things, such as: Tarot Cards (the pouch will fit a deck of 70mm x120mm tarot cards), Gem Stones, Rune Stones, Dice, Jewellery etc..
Size: approx. 12cm x 21cm
Please be aware that colours may differ slightly due to screen display.
You will only receive the pouch when ordering this; the stones and dice in the photos are not included!
